About ICC
The 2026 International Coastal Cleanup has officially been scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026. This event will run from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM around Collier County beaches and other waterways.
The International Coastal Cleanup event was founded by the Ocean Conservancy, with local efforts being spearheaded by Keep Collier Beautiful and its partner organizations. The community-wide cleanup brings together volunteers, local businesses, and municipalities to support Collier County’s unique environment. Through ongoing partnerships, Keep Collier Beautiful helps support litter prevention, education, and community cleanup programs.
Keep Collier Beautiful beach cleanup events are perfect for the young and young-at-heart. Volunteers are encouraged to bring friends, family, and coworkers for a fun and meaningful project. Volunteer service hours are available for pre-registered students.
Site Captain Responsibilities
- Pick up supplies from Waste Management (4500 Exchange Ave) a day or two before the cleanup.
- Report to the assigned site location at 7:45 am on the day of the event.
- Place coroplast signs at the entrance or by your distribution site.
- Greet volunteers, distribute supplies, take pictures, and request that volunteers report their findings.
- Sign off on volunteer hour forms (if asked) or ask them to email keepcollierbeautiful2021@gmail.com.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Register before the cleanup and choose your preferred cleanup location.
- Arrive at your cleanup site on time and place your printed registration form or free parking passes on your vehicle windshield.
- Find your site captain to receive supplies and cleanup instructions.
- Wear protective clothing (closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen).
- Bring reusable water bottles.
- Submit your cleanup report and share your photos through the provided links or QR codes after the cleanup.
