About Clean Up Florida Waters

Keep Collier Beautiful is hosting the 2026 Clean Up Florida Waters in Collier County, in partnership with the Marco Island Area Association of Realtors (MIAAOR). This cleanup event has officially been scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, and will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM around Collier County waterways. Boaters, kayakers, and community volunteers are invited to register.

  • Participate in the pre-cleanup briefing a day before the cleanup at the MIAAOR Conference Center (140 Waterway Drive, Marco Island).
  • Report to the assigned boat/kayak takeoff location at 8:45 am on the day of the event.
  • Greet volunteers, distribute supplies, take pictures, and request that volunteers report their findings.
  • Sign off on volunteer hour forms (if asked) or ask them to email keepcollierbeautiful2021@gmail.com.
  • Drop all the collected trash at Rose Marina, where lunch and giveaways will also be provided.

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Register before the cleanup and choose whether you’d like to ride a boat or clean up the coasts of Keewaydin Island.
  • Arrive at your takeoff location on time and place your printed registration form or free parking passes on your vehicle windshield.
  • Find your site or boat captain to receive supplies and cleanup instructions.
  • Wear protective clothing (closed-toe shoes, hat, sunscreen).
  • Bring reusable water bottles.
  • Submit your cleanup report and share your photos through the provided links or QR codes after the cleanup.

Clean Up Florida Waters is an annual environmental initiative spearheaded by the Florida Realtors®, wherein local Realtor® associations across the state organize to remove trash from waterways. As one of their signature events, the MIAAOR invites volunteers every year to clean Marco Island’s pristine beaches, canals, and bays. For this year’s partnership, we are aiming to expand this event throughout Collier County and reach more volunteers and community partners.

Keep Collier Beautiful beach cleanup events are perfect for the young and young-at-heart. Volunteers are encouraged to bring friends, family, and coworkers for a fun and meaningful project. Volunteer service hours are available for pre-registered students.

Reporting Instructions

After you complete the cleanup, you will receive an email requesting that you report your cleanup results. It is a quick survey to ensure we log your volunteer hours and document the litter and debris collected.
