Keep Collier Beautiful and the Marco Island Area Association of REALTORS® (MIAAOR) have partnered to host the 2026 Clean Up Florida Waters in Marco Island. This cleanup event will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Boaters, kayakers, and community volunteers are invited to register for this community-driven environmental initiative to help preserve the waterways that make Southwest Florida a treasured destination.
Clean Up Florida Waters is an annual environmental initiative spearheaded by the Florida Association of Realtors®, wherein local REALTOR® associations across the state organize to remove trash from waterways. As one of its signature events, MIAAOR invites volunteers every year to clean Southwest Florida’s pristine beaches, canals, and bays. The event is expanding throughout Collier County to reach more boaters and volunteers.
Participants will meet on Friday, July 24, the day before the cleanup, at the MIAAOR Conference Center, located at 140 Waterway Drive, Marco Island, FL 34145, to assign locations, coordinate logistics, and distribute cleanup supplies. On cleanup day, volunteer boaters and kayakers will take to local waterways — working together to remove debris and safeguard these critical marine environments. Volunteers are encouraged to bring friends, family, and coworkers for a fun and meaningful project. Pre-registered students are also eligible for volunteer service hours.
Registration is available at keepcollierbeautiful.com for interested boat captains and volunteers to join the Marco Island cleanup. For any inquiries about the cleanup event and potential partnerships, please contact Caroline Charde at (239) 394-5616 or carolinecharde@marcorealtor.com.
Boaters and kayakers from Naples, Immokalee, Golden Gate Estates, and other areas who would like to join the event by cleaning their local waterways are requested to email keepcollierbeautiful2021@gmail.com to register your group and location.
