Friends of Tigertail Beach Clean-up Update Friends of Tigertail hosts quarterly beach clean-ups, two (April and September) in association with KCB, and the other two (July and December) independently, each event attracting 30-70 volunteers.
Incorporated in 1998 by a group of beach lovers who collected trash each time they walked the beach, Friends of Tigertail has continued their tradition. Statistics compiled since 2006 have demonstrated impressive results, with 3,000 volunteers collecting over 3 tons of trash.
Tigertail Beach is home to a variety of wildlife, and keeping the area clean is especially important. Our active and enthusiastic volunteers have helped our organization maintain this goal.
