Collier County Public Libraries invited Collier County Solid and Hazardous Waste Reduction and Recycling team along with Waste Management to attend the annual Transportation Expo: Start your Engines event held on February 24, 2024.
This event provided an excellent outreach opportunity, enabling the team to engage with over 1,300 guests. It served as a platform for educating residents from diverse demographics, including both children and adults. The team covered various topics, including curbside collection, recycling centers, recycling best practices, and sustainability.
During the event, the SHWMD team distributed educational materials to parents and provided promotional items to children, aiding them in better understanding recycling.
